SMITH, John Joseph, (Killyclogher, Omagh, Co. Tyrone), peacefully at home - December 12, 2015. Sadly missed by his devoted wife, Pearl; his children, Peter (Peadar), Meabh, Johnny, Aoife, Joel, Mary-Clare and Conn; his sisters, Catherine (Kay) Mc Gerty and Sr. Majella (Loreto, Rathfarnham); his grandchildren, extended family and friends. Waked at his home Monday. Funeral Mass at 2pm tomorrow, Tuesday in St. Mary's Church, Killyclogher, Omagh, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.Ar dhéis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.
SMITH, John (Glenageary, formerly Carrickmacross) - On this the First Anniversary of the death of our beloved John, his wife Majella, sons Matt and Oran, parents Frank and Maura, sisters Maria, Frances and Siobhan and in-laws would like to express their deepest gratitude for the love, care and kindness extended by relatives, friends, colleagues and neighbours throughout John's illness and this past year. Thank you to all those who attended John's Reposing and Funeral Mass, travelled long distances, sent heartfelt letters of sympathy, Mass cards and flowers. Particular thanks to Fr. Bill Fortune for such a beautiful funeral Mass together with Fr. Paul Hampson, Fr. Cormac O'Brollchain, Fr. Eugene Kennedy and Fr. Padraig Gleeson. Thank you to Eimear Quinn for her exquisite singing and to our dear friend, Kieran Lenihan, for paying such tribute to John in his eulogy. We would like to thank the staff of SVPH, especially Dr. David Fennelly for their exceptional care for John. Heartfelt thanks to the pupils and staff of Willow Park, Blackrock College, St. Kevin's NS Sallynoggin and the pupils, parents, colleagues and friends of Majella at Guardian Angels NS Blackrock. Thank you to John's friends and colleagues at St. Patrick's College Drumcondra/DCU for their continued care and support. John is sadly missed and is in our hearts always.
