van der PUTTEN, Prof. Wil, (Clybaun Heights, Knocknacarra, Galway and formerly Eindhoven), beloved husband of Deirdre and adored father of Sophie, Marieke and Emma. Sadly missed by his wife and daughters, sister Inge, brother Theo, sisters-in-law Marie and Huong, brother-in-law Joe, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends and colleagues in N.U.I.G. and U.H.G. Reposing at his home today (Monday) from 4.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal to St. Augustine's Church, Middle Street, Galway tomorrow (Tuesday) to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Galway Hospice.

Wil was amongst his many achievements an excellent external examiner for our MSc courses at the University of Surrey, UK. He is much missed by his UK colleagues. Our deepest condolences to his family.
