HALLY (J.D.) - Brendan, Jimmy and Marianne together with his sister Mary Murphy (Clonmel) and all the extended family of the late J.D. (Jim) Hally, former Chief Scout of C.B.S.I. and retired Waterford County Engineer, would like to acknowledge all his neighbours and friends who were so kind and good to him during his life, particularly during the last months he spent at Waterford Regional Hospital. To all who visited him while in hospital, his friends in scouting, his many friends from Abbeyside and Dungarvan, his former work colleagues in Waterford County Council, his friends in St John's School in Dungarvan and other friends in Ireland and abroad, many thanks. We would also like to thank all those who attended his funeral Mass and burial at Abbeyside and Ballinroad Churches, to Bishop Lee and Dr Russell who concelebrated with Fr Richard Doherty P.P. his funeral Mass, during which the Waterford Diocesan Lourdes Choir sang so beautifully. We would like to make special mention of Fr Doherty for his kindness, patience and friendship, as well as David Kiely of James Kiely & Son, Undertakers, for not only his professionalism in looking after the funeral, but his kindness towards the family. A special mention must be made for all those in Waterford Regional Hospital during his stay there and in particular Dr Walker and the nursing and care staff on Medical 1 whose kindness to Dad and the family was unbounding. You are forever in our prayers. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.J.D. is "gone home".
