O'MAHONY Bishop Dermot (Dublin) - December 10, 2015, peacefully at Beaumount Hospital. Son of the late Gerald and Elizabeth O'Mahony and uncle of the late Dermot; deeply regretted by his brother Gerry and sister-in-law Berna, the Archbishop of Dublin, his fellow bishops and priests of the Diocese, by Tony and Fiona, his extended family and friends, especially Bernie and Sue. Rest in Peace. Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand from 2 o'c this Saturday afternoon. Removal on Monday evening to St. Anne's Church, Shankill arriving for 6.30 o'clock Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Tuesday with Funeral thereafter to Shanganagh Cemetery.

Very saddened to hear of the death of Bishop Dermot. Dermot was always really kind to me when he was my area Bishop and later years when I studied in Clonliffe. Bishop Dermot was a man who stood up to the Order of the day in Dublin, always.
