BRITTON Brian (Blackrock, Co. Louth and Rossnowlagh, Co. Donegal) Brian's wife, Antoinette, and his family wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to them following their sad loss. We very much appreciate every card, letter, prayer and every Mass offered. We are very grateful to those who travelled distances short or long to say goodbye before the removal of his remains in McGeough's Funeral Parlour, on the eve of the funeral, and the next day's Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul. We thank all those who contributed so beautifully to the Evening Prayers, especially Blackrock Church Choir and to those who participated in his Requiem Mass, which was a wonderful celebration of his life. In particular, a word of gratitude to Fr. Brian White, Fr. Padraig Keenan, Fr. Ailbe, a former classmate from Gormanstown College, and Fr. Thomas Keogan, Kinlough. A word of thanks to Eugene Ginity and Sarah McCourt who sang his favourite hymns so beautifully during the Requiem Mass. We thank colleagues and friends for their unwavering support during his illness and warmly thank each of our own friends and neighbours who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. We are grateful to those who made charitable donations to the Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust. A special word of thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Blackrock Medical Centre, Co. Louth; Dr. Catherine Flynn, Consultant Haematologist, and Lorraine Brennan, Haematologist Nurse Specialist, St. James's Hospital, Dublin; the North Louth Hospice and the Palliative Care Night Nursing team and carers, for their kindness and respect shown at all times. We are very grateful to Fr. Brian White for his unwavering support and guidance to us all. Finally, we thank McGeough's Funeral Directors for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements. To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. The Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Oliver Plunkett's Church, Blackrock, Co. Louth at 12.00 noon on Sunday, March 25, 2018.
