GILLESPIE - Doreen, The family of the late Doreen Gillespie, of Wheaton Hall, Drogheda, who passed away suddenly at her home on August 31, 2021, would like to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy shown to us at this time of our great loss. The many phone calls, messages, cards, letters, condolences and beautiful flowers have been a great source of solace and strength to us when we needed it most. Thank you with all our hearts. Doreen had been ill for many years and we will be forever grateful to Professors Frank Murray, Declan DeFreitas, Diarmuid Smith and Brendan McAdam (all of Beaumont P.C.) Doctor Paul Neary and many, many others, whose care, attention and humanity was unsurpassed. We saw them, not just as professionals, but as friends. We deeply appreciate all those neighbours, friends and family who joined us at Townley’s Funeral Home or at Dardistown Crematorium to celebrate Doreen’s life and are happy that so many from far and wide joined us via the video streaming service. Father John Conlon PP and the staff of P. Townley’s Funeral Directors, especially Jane and Martin, made it so easy to fulfil Doreen’s and our wishes that it could not have been more perfect; so a special thank you to Father John and Jane and Martin. Doreen will always be with us in our hearts and minds and we will always be grateful for the love we were allowed to share. It is impossible to acknowledge all of those who enhanced Doreen’s life through the years or even in the past few days, but to you all; THANK YOU.
