KANE - - Teresa (Tess) (née Lavin), (Ballina and Lucan), tenth anniversary of her death on May 28, 2011. Wife to Benny (deceased December 21, 2000) mother to Ias (deceased April 3, 2012) and grandmother to Seb (deceased August 21, 2010). Tess was described as a ‘social entrepreneur’ and she left us with a rich and diverse legacy from her life's work. She volunteered and fundraised for charities, she established two bridge clubs, a local radio station, a language school and a community centre. She enjoyed politics and was a lifelong Fine Gael supporter. Mum was passionate about education and was honoured for her work at DCU’s Intergenerational Learning Project. Both Mum and Dad believed in family above all else, values which we hold close. She is greatly missed by her family; her children Vivienne, Kathy, Aideen, Kenny, Leah, Ezi, Gillian and Adele, the outlaws Kieran, Declan, John, Susanne, Dennis, Rosey, Stephen, and Conor, her grandchildren Daniel, Ailbhe, Grainne, Aidan, Aoife, Hannah, Ellie, Aisling, Clara, Lugh, Ben, Oscar, Matthew, Gus, Charlotte, Henry, Arthur, Arlo, Lucy and Gwen and her siblings and their families, Kay Cregg, Ambrose, Joseph and John (RIP) Lavin.
