Deepest Sympathy

Father Desmond was the dearest and probably the only friend we had in New York. We had just arrived from Ireland and his relatives in the Bronx gave us through him our only furniture - a bed, chairs and a Water driven window air conditioner. He officiated at our son's baptism and remained a dear friend during our 18 months in New York - that was away back in 1961 when we are all young. God has blessed us through Fr. Desmond since.

Joan Albian from Chicago.

In Memory of Father Desmond Flanagan, O. Carm.
I worked with Fr. Desmond Flanagan in the CYO at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish on Middletown, New York. He was a wonderful, hardworking and reverent priest. May he rest in peace.
