HURLEY, Michael (Foxrock, Dublin 18 and formerly Santry, Dublin 9) – May 24, 2020 (Suddenly) in Beijing, China. Michael leaves behind his much adored and heartbroken wife Anne-Marie, his loving son James, his two beautiful daughters Niamh and Ciara. Forever loved and sadly missed by his parents Madeline and Seán, sister Mary, brother Seán, father-in-law Tom, mother-in-law Laura, brothers and sisters-in-law, his three nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Michael will be sadly missed by his colleagues at The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and by the wide circle of friends he has made throughout his life in the many roles he held serving Ireland at home and abroad. His love for literature, music, travel and sense of adventure was only exceeded by his overwhelming love for his family. May he Rest in Peace. Due to current restrictions on public gatherings a private celebration of Michael’s life will take place on Monday, June 1, in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook. The Service can be viewed online at www.memoriallane.ie/livestream/. Please remember Michael at 11.00am. Messages of comfort and support may be placed in the Irish Times online condolence section.
