RYAN - Muriel, wife of Ken, Dalkey, Co. Dublin (née Lowry) retired Artistic Director, Abbey Stained Glass Studios . Passed away peacefully, June 18th, 2026, aged 79 years and cared for with kindness and compassion in Marlay Nursing Home, Rathfarnham, for the past two years, previously cared for at home by Aileen and Ken with the aid of HSE and Private Nurses for five years. Formerly married to Enda Wymes who died aged 38, they had three children, Marina Sloan (Wymes), Aileen Wymes and Charles Wymes. Muriel was married a second time to Ken Ryan for over forty years after Kens wife Eileen McSweeney (Inchigeela) also died aged 38, in Zimbabwe. Muriels late parents were Charles Lowry and wife Anne Rooney. Her late sister Rosaleen Lowry was cared for by The Daughters of Charity, Clonsilla for fifty years and her late brother Noel Lowry was Professor and Paediatric Surgeon in Saskatoon, Canada. Extended Lowry Families in Canada and extended Sloan / Wymes Families in Bath, UK and Aileens partner Paul Martin. Muriel will repose in Quinns of Glasthule, Monday (June 22nd) from 4pm to 6pm.

Removal Tuesday (June 23rd) to the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey, arriving for 10am Funeral Mass which can be viewed on the link below followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
