SMART, Gilbert (late of The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders with Burma Star 1939-1945, Arbroath, Scotland and Walkinstown, Dublin 12) - December 12, 2013, (peacefully) in St. James's Hospital. Beloved husband of Joan and loving father of Gilbert Jnr. (Gilly), Marion, Anne and Judy. Sadly missed by his family, his grandchildren Louise, Kenneth, Susan, Amanda, Stuart, David, Laura, Eoin, Diarmuid, Amy, Zoe, Darcey and Cameron, his great grandchildren Kenneth, Gerry, Jessica, Niamh, Oran, Sophie, Haley, Rian and Amelia Rose, his daughter-in-law Joyce, sons-in-law Brian and Liam, his carer Vilma, relatives and friends. Reposing in Fanagans Funeral Home, Lwr. Kimmage Road. Funeral Service on Monday at 11.00 am. in St. Mary's Church of Ireland, Crumlin, followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Cancer Research Ireland or The Alzheimer's Society of Ireland.
