Etienne Rynne's death

I'm so sad to hear that Etienne died last year. I met him at an archaeological conference in 1981 which I attended with my amazing tutor, Ms. Pat Musick. Fabulous conference that it was, where I also met other amazing people, the most memorable thing for me was that, at the ceilidh on the last evening, Etienne taught me how to waltz! He's an unforgettable soul. My very best wishes go to his family.

Portroe Millennium Cross

It was a pleasure to meet Etienne at a party at the Weirs in Whitegate. He was a real help to us as we erected our Millennium Cross on our hill in Portroe for which we and generations to come will be thankful and remember him. Even this weekend we had a little ecumenical celebration in connection with the International Eucharistic Congress - for which the original cross was erected in 1932. Etienne was full of sense and fun. Thank you
