CLOSE, James Jnr (Portmarnock, Co. Dublin) 'All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.' - (Gandalf the Grey), June 18, 2018, (unexpectedly and unacceptably), in Wellington, New Zealand. The incredible James Jimbo Jamesy Hamish Closey Close has left all of us too soon and will forever be deeply missed by his heart broken family; his parents James and Anne-Marie, his sisters Eiméar, Niamh, Ciara and Éadaoin, his brother John, his nieces Daisy and Evie and his adoring nephew Donnchadh, his aunts, uncles, cousins, an endless supporting cast of loving, loyal and caring friends and his hard-working hospital colleagues both here and in Wellington. James will be reposing at home in Portmarnock on tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon from 3pm after a long last journey home. ‘After all, to the well-organised mind, death is but the next great adventure.’ - (A. Dumbledore). Removal on Wednesday morning to St. Anne's Church, Portmarnock arriving for 11.30am Funeral Mass followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium. Family flowers only please – All donations would be much appreciated by the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. Enquiries to Stafford's Portmarnock 01 8462620. ‘Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.’ - Dr. Seuss

We were so sorry to hear the sad news of James' death, but were inspired by the beautiful words in the notice. Clearly James inspired your choice of words and he must have a truly adventurous and noble soul . Declan and Beth Kiberd
