ARNOLD (née McCarthy), Helen, (Blackrock, Co. Dublin) - September 27, 2017, (peacefully), surrounded by her family and in the loving care of the staff at Newtownpark House Nursing Home and the Blackrock Hospice, beloved wife of the late Prof. Lawrence (Larry); sadly missed by her sisters Joan and Tina (Teeney), nieces Jane and Claire, grandnieces Olivia and Stephanie, extended family, relatives and many friends. May she rest in peace. Funeral Mass on Monday (October 2) at 10am in Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Avenue followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery, Shankill. Family flowers only please.

Such a sad day for me as I have just learned of dear Helen’s passing. Although we had not been in contact in recent years I thought of her often and remember her with great affection. Anne Knowles 28-12-18

Dear Helen was so kind to me helping me deal with the emotional challenges of being a caregiver to someone with Parkinson's disease, I will preserve our corresponden​ce as a tribute to her wisdom and compassion. Thank you, Peggy O'Brie
