DAVIDSON - Jill (née OMahony) Native of Roscommon. Born in Miss Jacksons Nursing home, 19 Lower Leeson Street, Dublin on August 13, 1940. Died peacefully in London on July 27, 2025. Resident of Dublin, San Francisco California, Fearrington North Carolina, West Cork and Richmond London. Daughter of the late John and Marie and sister to Elizabeth, Marie, Joe and the late Ellen. Beloved widow of Dave. Beloved step-mother to John and Marge, grandma to Jake and Zeke, godmother to Nicola and Dara, aunt/grandaunt to Ellen, Erin, Charlie, Matt and many others. Lifelong best friend to Marjorie. She was effortlessly stylish, indefatigably encouraging, decent and true, adventurous and brave and great fun. We are heartbroken to have lost her and we will miss our beautiful Giggy terribly. No funeral. Cremation August 7, 2025.

When the boys were small and the 6am game of Monopoly became boring, they and Jill would stand on her bed and fling the money towards the ceiling to whoops of delight. For years, when I moved the bed to hoover, I’d find a note. She loved mischief.

Jill immediately made you feel relaxed and listened as if you were the only person she wanted to talk to. She was spirited, special and very much her own woman. Rest in peace Jill. There are not many like you here.
