O'FARRELL, Carmel (Old Park Road, Corbally, Limerick) - On 2nd April 2023. Peacefully after a long illness, bravely borne, in the exceptional care of Dr. Thamir Mahgoub and his team at University Hospital Limerick. Former teacher of History and French, Crescent College and Comprehensive, Limerick. Pre-deceased by her parents Martin and Catherine. Dearly loved sister of Joseph, Jim, Teresa, Martin and Catherine. Sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Barbara Martin, Jacinta Doyle and Ailish O’Farrell, brother-in-law Eamonn Griffin and by Jim Dalton. Loving aunt to Sarah, Emma, Mark, Laura, Eoghan, Edward, James and Anna and partners Krish, Katie and Shayari. Sadly missed by her relatives, neighbours and dear friends. May Carmel rest in peace. Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on (Tuesday) 4th April, from 5pm to 6:30pm. Carmel’s funeral cortège will pass the family home (10:40am approx.) on Wednesday 5th April to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Athlunkard Street for Requiem Mass at 11am, streamed live.
