O'HAGAN - Edward Francis (Eddie) (late of Newcastle, Co. Down) September, 13, 2021, peacefully after a short illness, beloved husband of Lillian and father of Patrick, Justin, Fidelma and Emer; grandfather of Turlough, Cormac, Fintan, Eoghan, Emilia, Úna, Rory Ailbhe, Kilian and Manus.

Teacher, lawyer, life-long socialist, unswerving opponent of sectarianism and its rabble during the dark days in the North. A secularist before it was popular and when it was far from profitable. Longstanding member of the Republican Clubs, member and active supporter of the Workers Party. Scholar, gaeilgeoir, story teller. He never bent the knee.
