DOYLE - Dr. Brendan M. (Kilkenny Road, Carlow), died April 13, 2019. Remembered lovingly on his second anniversary by Maria, Brendan and Stephanie, Vonnie, Christian, Noeleen, Annie as well as his sister Sally, brothers Larry and Mark, nieces and nephews, extended relatives and his wide circle of friends.

The Doyle family would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who supported us over the last two years. To those who attended his repose and funeral, to those who wrote to us, and those who were there for us through the difficult months after. It is impossible to thank everyone individually, but your kindness is greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten. We thank those who went above and beyond in the months after his death including Dr Jonathan and Wendy Jacob, Dr Declan Woods, Helen Grant and Mary Keating who helped us to keep Brendan’s practice open, and Eileen Murphy who is like family to us. Thank you also to his patients who were loyal to him over many years and gave him a great sense of purpose and fulfilment. We greatly appreciated the stories and letters from patients about how he had cared for them and their families over the years. Thank you to his friends who rallied around us and to those who organised and attended “The Doc’s Bumper” memorial race in Gowran Park - we couldn’t have imagined a more fitting way to remember him. We know Brendan would have loved it too.

Finally, to our wider family including Brendan’s siblings, nieces and nephews, Vonnie’s family, and to our own friends who have been an incredible support to us over the past two years, we can’t thank you enough. Dad’s passing has left a huge void in our lives. We miss him dearly every day and remember him for his larger than life personality, his sense of humour, his big heart, and his generous and helping nature.

Sylvia O Sullivan ( formerly Sylvia Leigh Doyle) wishes to send personal sympathy to your family. My own GP in Limerick, Dr Pat Kelly, who is also a neighbour of ours, knew Brendan and often spoke of him. Please forward to Sally from me
