MURPHY Richard William Lindsay: (Poet and Author, of Wegiriya, Gampola, Sri Lanka, formerly of Knockbrack, Killiney, and The New Forge, Cleggan, Co. Galway), on January 30, 2018, peacefully in his 91st year in the presence of his daughter Emily and son-in-law James Riordan (of Myrtleville House, Co. Cork) and his devoted carers Desmond and Naomi. Sadly missed by his sister Mary Cookson, brothers Christopher and Edward, his grandchildren Theodora and Caspar Lee, and numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral in Kandy, tomorrow (Saturday). A celebration of his life will be held in Connemara at a later date.
