HERBERT. It's a year since our mother, Bríd Herbert died. We want to thank our relatives, friends and neighbours for the support they gave us at that time and since. We were greatly comforted by the huge numbers who came to the house and attended her funeral. Among them were former colleagues and friends of our late father, Micheál, and our own friends and colleagues, many of whom travelled long distances to pay their respects. We continue to be consoled by the many kind words and reminiscences of our mother shared with us in the days after her death. We thank those who sent letters of condolence, sympathy cards, Mass cards and flowers. We owe a deep debt of gratitude to our neighbours, extended family, and friends who were so kind to Bríd in her later years and who gave much appreciated practical support at the time of her death. We particularly want to acknowledge those who cared for her daily in her final years: your kindness will never be forgotten. A special word of thanks to Bishop Willie Walsh; our friends, Fr. Raphael Gallagher C.Ss.R and Canon Aisling Shine; Fr. Brendan Kyne; and all the other concelebrants: you helped us make Bríd's funeral Mass a true affirmation of her rich life and achievements.Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.
