WATTERS Una, (Kinneagh and Kilcullen, Co Kildare) - Approaching the first anniversary of the passing of our precious and beloved Mother, Una, on July 24, 2009, her daughters Margaret, Elaine, Jacqueline, Paula, Emer, her son Enda, her sons in law and daughter in law, grandchildren and great grandchildren, together with her sisters Peggy, Patsy and Kate, her brothers and sisters-in-law, would like to thank the very many people who sympathised with us in our sad loss. Una touched and enriched the lives of many people and she was a friend in the truest sense of that word. She had an indomitable spirit and was a shining example to us all. To those who sent Mass cards, seraphic certificates, letters of condolence, wreaths and floral tributes, made telephone calls and attended her Mass and funeral, many of whom travelled long distances, we thank you. We would like to especially thank her nieces and nephews whose outstanding help and kindness was greatly appreciated. Una's deep interest in the lives of her nieces and nephews was very apparent in the many ways they helped us as a family. We are grateful to Una's friends and neighbours, especially those from her childhood growing up in Kilcullen, for their friendship and care to her and to our father, John (RIP), especially through times of illness and also to us during this last sad year. To those who visited Mammy in hospital and at home during her illness, who gave her gifts, flowers, Mass bouquets, cards and letters of encouragement and made telephone calls which she greatly appreciated and enjoyed, we thank you. We would like to thank Dr Brian Dunne, Bernard Berney and their staff who showed great kindness, care and attention to Mammy over many years. We also greatly appreciate the care and attention given to Una by Dr David Mulcahy, Mr Vincent Young and the staff in Naas, Tallaght and Blackrock hospitals. We are especially grateful to Nurse Phil O'Connor, Kilcullen Health Centre, for her care and support. To Fr Murphy PP, Fr Ryan and Fr Supple our most sincere thanks and appreciation. Also to Kilcullen Bethany Bereavement group for their assistance and to Kilcullen Choir for their beautifully performed and fitting hymns. We would like to thank the local Gardai and GAA Club who assisted with traffic control, to Kilcullen Credit Union who closed their office as a mark of respect to Una a former Director and member, to Catherine Mulrennan for her floral tributes and to PJ Willis, Funeral Undertaker, whose professionalism, help and advice were greatly appreciated. To the overwhelming number of family, friends, neighbours and colleagues who came to our home in the weekend prior to and during Una's funeral and helped us in so many ways - Una and John would have enjoyed the party. As a token of our appreciation, the holy sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. Una's first anniversary Mass will take place at 11.00 am on Saturday next July 24, 2010 in the Church of the Sacred Heart and St Brigid, Kilcullen, Co Kildare.
