HAYES Edward (Eddie) (Glasnevin, Dublin) died December 4, 2018. On the anniversary of his retirement from Aer Lingus (June 13, 1987), his wife Marie would like to thank her family and relatives, friends, neighbours and former work colleagues of Eddie for their sympathies on his passing and wonderful support over the last six months. A special word of thanks is also due for the care Eddie received from the staff at Beneavin House Nursing Home and all the staff at St. Gabriel's Ward in The Mater Hospital.God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
So he put his arms around you
and whispered 'come to me'
With tearful eyes we watched
and saw you pass away
And though we loved you dearly
we could not make you stay
