O'KELLY, Dr. John, (Edmonton Alberta, Canada and late of Taylor's Hill, Galway) - June 13, 2014, (peacefully), in Alberta, after a short illness, in the loving care of his family. Loving husband of Sheila (née McEvaddy) and dearest father of Cian, Ronagh, Deirdre and Orlagh; deeply regretted by his family, sisters Ruth and Joan (Griffin), brother Kevin, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, his eight adored grandchildren, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rest in Peace. John's funeral has already taken place in Canada.

I'm so sad 2 have just learned of Dr O'Kelly's untimely death. He saved countless lives. Ireland's loss was Canada's gain. Rest peacefully our good friend. Breda O'Leary.

<p>Just heard</p> Dear Mrs. Kelly. I don't know what made me look up Doctor Kelly. I was a patient of his when he worked in Cork many years ago. I have always thought of him fondly. He helped me so much all those years ago, and I was very upset when he left Ireland. I am so upset to hear of his passing. I had always hoped to make contact with him but until recent years it was very difficult to do so, hence the Internet. My heart goes out to you and your family. I am so sad now and can't stop crying. I attended Dr. Kelly every week for a full two years so I got to know him quite well. Please answer my email as I would love to hear from you. Yours sincerely, Esther Murphy, Cork..
