DIFFLEY, Sean (John C.) (Blackrock, Co. Dublin) - March 3, 2013, aged 85 years, at the Blackrock Clinic; beloved husband of the late Pam, darling Daddy to Anne-Marie, Jean and Cathy (Troy) and grandad to Liadh; he will be greatly missed by his son-in-law Aidan, sisters-in-law Patricia and Ray, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and colleagues in The Irish Independent and in the sports world. Removal tomorrow (Wednesday) evening to Church of the Assumption, Booterstown Avenue arriving at 6 o'clock Funeral on Thursday after 10 o'clock Mass to Shanganagh Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to The Irish Heart Foundation. "A true gentleman"
DIFFLEY Sean - (Blackrock, Co. Dublin) - (March 3, 2013) On Dad's First Anniversary Anne-Marie, Jean and Cathy (Troy), granddaughter Liadh, son-in-law Aidan, wish to thank most sincerely our extended family, relatives, friends, neighbours, Dad's colleagues and friends in the Irish Independent and the sports world, for the wonderful support and kindness during this past year. To all who attended the removal and the Funeral Mass, who send sympathy cards, telephoned, hugged, emailed - thank you. Very special thanks to the staff in St. Vincent's Private Hospital and the Blackrock Clinic and to Dad's GP Dr. David Kelly, who looked after him with such kindness and care. Also special thanks to Monsignor Conway and the priests in the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation, as it would be impossible to thank everyone individually. A Mass has been offered for the intentions of all.
