DYKE - Reverend George (December 13, 2013) and Doreen (November 8, 2013) - As we commemorate the First Anniversary of our parents' deaths, we would very much like to thank all those who attended the two funeral services at St. Patrick's Church, Powerscourt, Enniskerry, some travelling considerable distances. These services were beautifully conducted by The Most Reverend Dr. Michael Jackson, Archbishop of Dublin and Glendalough, Archdeacon Ricky Rountree, Rev. Terry Lilburn, and also Canon Adrian Empey who gave the addresses, and whose pastoral care and friendship during the final days, helped us greatly. Music was provided by the Parish Organists, Judy Cameron and Helen O'Toole, the lovely voices of St. Cecilia Singers and Dad's much loved Stedfast Band - we are most grateful to you all for these most fitting and dignified tributes to celebrate their lives. We also greatly appreciated the phone calls, cards, and letters, offering words of support and reminiscences of times past, and the floral tributes. We would also like to thank everyone who visited and supported them while in Brabazon, their Mount Merrion neighbours, and all who supported us in many ways through those times. Finally, we would like to express our thanks to the excellent staff of Brabazon House Nursing Home for looking after Mum and Dad so exceptionally well in their final years, to Nichols Undertakers for their thorough professionalism, the Powerscourt Parish Flower Guild, and the Royal Irish Yacht Club. As we remember Mum and Dad, to all who remembered them, so many thanks. Audrey, Mervyn and Glynis.
