TANNER, Prof. W. Arthur. F.R.C.S.I. (Churchtown, Dublin 14) - February 1, 2017, on his 69th birthday, (peacefully), at home, with his beloved family, after a brave battle fought with great dignity and courage. Dearly loved, loving husband and best friend of Ann, devoted father and lifelong hero to Jamie, Patrick and Jocelyn and proud and adored Pops to his grandson Finn; Arthur will be sadly missed by all his family, brother Michael, sister Kathy, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and all his relatives, colleagues in the medical field, the rugby fraternity and his wide circle of many friends all over the world. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in Zion Church, Zion Road, Rathgar, Dublin 6, on Tuesday, February 7 at 11.00am, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome. Family flowers only please, but donations may be made to Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross or The Irish Cancer Society.
