MORRISON, George (Peacefully) in his 103rd year on 2nd August 2025, in the loving care of the Altadore Retirement Nursing Home, Glenageary, Co Dublin and formerly of Mill House, Mill Lane, Shanganagh Bridge, Shankill, Co Dublin. Film-maker amd Film-archivist, Author, Historian, Soai of Aosdána. Man of the Arts. After a long life well-lived leaving a rich legacy of work for the benefit of the State and for generations to come. Predeceased by his beloved wives, Janet Morrison and Theodora Fitzgibbon. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his stepdaughters Afton, Philippa and Roisin, stepson Jamie, step-grandchildren, the Ó Riada family, and his wide circle of good and valued personal friends and also his many colleagues in Irish and International Film. At Rest. Reposing on Wednesday (13th August 2025) from 10am to 11am at Carnegies / Fanagans Funeral Home, Monkstown Crescent, A94 XK28 prior to his removal for burial in Deans Grange Cemetery at 11.30am. ‘Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann’
