MITCHELL, Rev. Fr. James (Max), (St. Mary's College House, Shantalla Road, Galway) - August 14, 2018. Predeceased by his brother Joseph; deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brothers Hal (USA) and Michael, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephew, his brother priests of the Galway Diocese, relatives and friends. Reposing at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway today (Thursday) from 5.00 pm with Removal at 7.00 pm to the Chapel of St. Columbanus, NUI Galway. Removal tomorrow (Friday) to Galway Cathedral to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to the New Cemetery, Bohermore.'Requiescat in pace'

Max was a great man, ,a scholar of the highest order. He love learning,he loved research, He was joy to be with , generous and caring. He loved his family, good food, great conversation & his brandy. I will miss he dearly Barney Keenan
