NEWSOME, Brendan (Ashford, Co Wicklow; Wire Ropes Ltd) July 17, 2023. Brendan died peacefully at home, just as he would have wished, after a period of being unwell. Missed by his loving wife Jane and his two sons Giles and Philip, daughters in law Eva and Marta and his beloved grandchildren Skye, Matti, Charlie, Elisa and Sam. Brendan is also mourned by all his relatives and his very large circle of friends. The finest husband, dad and proud grandad who was always there with advice, words of kindness and an incredible sense of fun. He led a full and active life and will live on in the memories and thoughts of all who loved him. Deepest gratitude to all the doctors, nurses and carers, especially the Home Care Team who have taken such wonderful care of Brendan over the last number of weeks and months. Funeral Mass at 11.00 o’clock on Monday, July 24, in the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary Ashford Co Wicklow (A67 Y672) followed by burial in Killoughter Cemetery. House Private. Funeral service will be streamed live.(Link will be on rip.ie) Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, can be made to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association . NEWSOME - In loving memory of Brendan. On the occasion of Brendan's first anniversary, Jane, Giles, Philip, Eva, Marta and all our grandchildren would like to thank everybody who gave us such support and celebrated Brendan's life with so many inspiring words and memories. Special thanks to all those who cared for Brendan, to Father Crossan, Willie Doyle and his staff at Flannerys.
We miss and love Brendan so much. He is now at peace, resting with the song of the robin and the music of the trees.
