LOCK, Charles Edgar (died October 3, 2014) - Claire, Christopher and Colin, together with all our extended family, wish to express our sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported us since Charles' passing and who attended the funeral - particularly those who travelled long distances to be there for us. We would like to thank all those family, friends, neighbours and acquaintances who sympathised with us, or who contacted us in any way, in person, by phone, who sent Sympathy cards or Mass cards, by text and email. Your comforting words were a great help to us at this time. It would be impossible to acknowledge the kindness of each one of you individually. Most particularly we would like to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff of the ICU, Mater Private Hospital, whose compassionate care enabled Charles to die with dignity and at peace. Our unending gratitude goes to those who cared for Charles throughout his long illness, in particular Prof. Jim Egan and Dr. Joe Martin and the other doctors of the Cambridge Clinic. We would like to thank the Rev. Canon Robert Warren of Taney Parish Church, who together with the organist David Adams and soloist Suzanne Chadwick made our farewell to Charles a memorable and dignified religious ceremony. Special thanks also to Fanagans Funeral Directors who organised the funeral arrangements in such a discrete and dignified way. Charles loved being with the people he loved and cared for and he would have been amazed and enormously appreciative of the efforts made by so many to celebrate his life and to say their final farewell to him. Please accept this acknowledgement of all our appreciation and gratitude.
