FITZPATRICK, Fr. Jim, Ferns December 13, 2014 - On the First Anniversary of Jim's death, his parents Des and Muriel, his brothers Garrett and Des and his sisters Jennifer and Valerie would like to express our most sincere gratitude to all those who cared for Jim and visited him during his illness and at the time of his death, attended the funeral, to those who sent Mass cards, floral tributes, and letters and cards of condolence. We would like to thank the pallbearers who carried Jim, the gravediggers and undertaker, those who provided the beautiful music, and Ferns St. Aidan's GAA and the staff of The Courtyard for their guards of honour. Many people helped immeasurably during Jim's illness. We are extremely grateful to his carers, doctors and nurses for their excellent care, and we also thank Jim's colleagues within the clergy, Fr. Paddy Cushen and Bishop Denis for the wonderful removal service and funeral Mass, and for their kind support at all stages. Thank you to Jim's many great friends and the people of Ferns and Screen/Curracloe. We cannot ever fully express the depth of our gratitude to all the people who helped and supported both Jim and ourselves. Fr. Jim's Anniversary Mass is in St. Aidan's Church, Ferns, on Sunday December 13 at 11.00 am.
