WALSH, (Flanagan) Claire, (Booterstown, Co. Dublin and Verbier, Switzerland) June 9, 2021, (peacefully) at Rive Neuve Hospice, Blonay, Switzerland, beloved wife of Gerry, loving mother of Stephanie, Christina and Olivia. Sadly missed by her husband, daughters, father Cyril, mother Maureen, sisters Lisa and Sarah, brothers John and Karl, sisters-in-law Louise, Marguerite and Sinead, brothers-in-law Paul, Tom and Brian, her nieces Ella, Roxanne, Maria, Laura and Ciara, nephews Kyle, Alex, Ross and Mark, relatives and many friends. In accordance with current Government guidelines and in the hope of keeping our friends and family safe, Claire’s Funeral will take place privately on Friday, June 18 at 12.30pm and can be viewed on https://www.churchservices.tv/booterstown followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium at 2.30pm which can be viewed on https://vimeo.com/event/153499 A celebration of Claire’s life will take place at a later date for those who could not attend her Funeral due to government restrictions. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to St Francis Hospice. May she Rest in Peace.

WALSH - Claire (née Flanagan) (Booterstown, Dublin and Verbier, Switzerland), (First Anniversary, June 9, 2021). Gerry, Stephanie, Christina and Olivia and Claire’s family wish to express sincere thanks to all who were a comfort and support, especially family, friends and neighbours in Ireland and in Verbier, Switzerland. The attendance at the funeral ceremony and cremation service in Dublin was restricted by Covid rules but many thanks to those who were able to be there and those who attended outside the Church at Booterstown. Thanks to Fr William Stuart, Sr Margaret Cashman and Quinn's Funeral Home, Glasthule and to Brian Pilkington who arranged the ceremony music, also to those who were with us on-line, sent condolence messages on RIP.ie, cards, letters and gifts. To Prof. Solange Peters and the doctors, nurses and staff at CHUV, Lausanne, we will be forever grateful for your help, exceptional efforts and care for Claire over many years, and to the doctors and nursing staff at the Rive Neuve Foundation in Blonay, Switzerland who looked after Claire in her final weeks. We hope that this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a sign of our sincere gratitude and appreciation.
