FORRISTAL, Fr. Desmond (Late P.P. of Dalkey) - September 9, 2012 peacefully in the loving care of all the staff at St. Joseph's Centre, Crinken, Shankill. Deeply regretted by his brother Ciaran, sister-in-law Flicka, nephew Timothy, his devoted and faithful housekeeper, Phyllis Totterdell; and his close friend Sr. Jane Carey; Archbishop Martin and his brother priests in the Dublin Diocese; his many friends and the parishioners in Dalkey. Removal tomorrow (Wednesday) to the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey arriving at 5pm. Funeral Thursday after 11.30am Mass followed by Burial immediately afterwards in Glasnevin Cemetery. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

<p>A Kindly Learned Man</p> <p>I had the honour to meet with Fr.Des many times in a former life in journalism.He was so nice and sharing.I have met again in the past years as he was cared for in his long illness at St.Joseph's where I was looking after someone else now deceased as a carer.His suffering is over.may he rest in Peace</p> <p>Liam</p>
