GILLESPIE, Terence (Terry). Around this, the First Anniversary time of the death of our beloved Terence, on his Birthday (June 22, 2017) - Nancy, Cara, Garret, Mark, Heidi, Alice, Fionnuala and Feidhlim wish to thank the many people who helped and supported us at a very sad time in our lives. We thank the Ambulance Service and staff, St. Luke's Hospital I.C.U., Kilkenny, and the wonderful care given by the staff there, Healy's Funeral Directors, Carlow, for their sensitive handling of the funeral arrangements. To Dean Tom Gordon for his pastoral care and the community of St. Laserian's Cathedral, Old Leighlin, The Religious Society of Friends in Ireland (the Quakers), especially Ballytore Meeting of which Terence was a Member, Mr. Jonathan Wigham (Monkstown Meeting) for the Spiritual leading of the funeral worship in the Cathedral for the celebration and thanksgiving of the life of Terence, and to Father Tom Lalor and community for their help. We are grateful to the Lord Bagenal Hotel and staff for providing refreshment, Terence's Colleagues from Laois County Council who provided and arranged beautiful garden flowers in the Cathedral. Thank you to the Acorn and Leighlinbridge Bridge Clubs, the Art Groups of which Terence was an active member, especially the South East Plein Air Group based in Wexford, who organised a Plein Air paint out in the Curragh in memory of Terence. We thank those who attended the funeral, some travelling great distances, those who generously donated to Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors without borders), those who sent cards, letters and prayers of sympathy which were a great comfort. We are very grateful to Dr. John Cuddihy of Ayrfield Medical Practice, Kilkenny for the excellent medical care over the past number of years. Finally, heartfelt thanks to our extended Hipwell and Gillespie family (especially Dermot and Dorothy), and our wonderful neighbours and friends for their numerous acts of kindness and offers of help. Your generosity and kindness is greatly appreciated.Peace
