DAWSON, Derek, 12th February 2022, late of Clonerany, Castletown, Gorey and Celbridge, Co. Kildare (retired Staff Member of Irish Times), died peacefully in the gentle care of Gorey District Hospital loving husband of Sylvia, brother of Jean, Liz, Dorothy, Alec (Canada) and the late Olive and Armour, father to Heather and William, grandfather to Alec and George. He will be sorely missed by the extended family and friends. Reposing at Murphy's Funeral Home, The Avenue, Gorey today (Monday) from 4 o'clock until 6 o'clock. Funeral arriving to Inch Parish Church tomorrow (Tuesday) for Funeral Service at 11.00 o'clock which can be viewed on the following link https://www.facebook.com/paulleonardlensvideos/ followed by Cremation in the Garden Chapel Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold's Cross, Dublin at 2.15pm . Donations if desired, in lieu of flowers to Gorey District Hospital and RNLI. House strictly private.
