O'BRIEN, Humphrey - On the First Anniversary of our beloved Humphrey's passing his wife Colette together with his sons Conor and Stephen wish to express our deepest gratitude for the kindness and support shown to Humphrey and ourselves throughout his illness. We would like to especially mention Humphrey's mother Kitty, his sister Mary, brothers Pat, Neil, Dan and Jerry, and their families for their wonderful support, which is very much appreciated. A heartfelt thank you to our extended family, friends and neighbours for all your help during our difficult times. To all those who visited, called, sent texts, wrote letters or sent Mass cards to Humphrey during his illness, we thank you. Fr. Tom Clancy, your visits to us during Humphrey's illness brought great comfort. Thank you. We appreciate the great care taken of Humphrey by the Medical profession, in particular we thank, Dr. Colm Gleeson, Dr. Criostoir O'Suilleabhain, Dr. Derek Power, Dr. Tony O'Brien, Dr. Marie Murphy and Humphrey's Cousin Dr. Rosemary O'Brien, the Mercy Hospital, especially all in St. Therese's Oncology Unit, Clady Medical Centre, Bishopstown and O'Reilly's Pharmacy, Bishopstown. To Marymount, for the wonderful care given to Humphrey throughout his illness both in your hospice and in our home by the Home Care Team, we will be eternally grateful. We also greatly appreciate the tenderness shown to Humphrey and the support given to ourselves, especially in his final days. Thank you to Humphrey's uncle, Canon Humphrey O'Mahony and all those who assisted with the funeral ceremonies which brought great comfort to us. Thank you also to everyone who attended, we appreciate that many travelled long distances to show their respect for Humphrey. Many thanks to Colaiste an Spioraid Naoimh, Bishopstown, Bishopstown GAA, Wilton United Soccer Club, and Humphrey's work colleagues for providing the guards of honour. Thanks also to Casey Funeral Services for their excellent professionalism during those difficult days. Thank you to Arc House, especially Fiona for being an invaluable support to us. To the Farming and Agribusiness Communities, especially Humphrey's colleagues in Southern Milling and Paul and Vincent, a sincere thank you for your continued support. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. Humphrey's First Anniversary Mass is on Sunday, February 23 at 10.30am in the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, Dennehy's Cross.
