COOKE - Gabriel Michael MD (Toronto, Canada formerly Galway), February 19, 1940 - March 21, 2023

It is with profound sadness that the family of Gabriel announce his passing at home on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 after a long struggle with dementia with his adoring wife, Dee, by his side. He will be dearly missed by his 3 sons, Michael, Niall, and Patrick, and their families including his beloved grandchildren, Connor, Sasha, Maddie, Niamh, Clare, Jameson, and Lochlan. He will also be sadly missed by his brother and sisters and his many nieces and nephews in Ireland, England, and Australia.

The Cooke family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful caregivers who looked after Gabe, especially Irene, Bernadeth, Sarah, Amos, and Dr. Bernstein and Priscilla from Palliative Care, Debbie and the amazing people from the Care Company. A Chairde, We just lost a great friend and colleague here in Toronto. Far too many of late it seems. Gabriel was a long time stalwart of our most noble medical profession and was also a great rugby supporter of the Irish Canadians. Had some fabulous sessions with our fav Radiology guy over the years. He will be sorely missed.
