McCARTHY, Dr. Desmond (Doug) (formerly of Thornhill Road, Mount Merrion, Co. Dublin and the U.K.) October 1, 2019. Peacefully, after a prolonged illness, in the wonderful care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. Beloved son of the late Paddy and Maighread and much loved brother to Ann (Reid), Brendan, Niamh (Scollard) and the late Mary (Sanchez). Sadly missed by his sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grand- nephews, extended family and friends. Reposing tomorrow (Thursday) evening from 5pm to 7pm in The Mortuary Chapel at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, D.6w. Funeral Mass on Friday (October 4) at 10am in the Church of St Thérèse, Mount Merrion, followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery. Requiescat in pace
