KELLY Denis (Sligo) - August 1, 2012, at Sligo General Hospital surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Frances and dearly loved father of Oisín. Sadly missed and much loved by his sisters Anita and Daphne, his brother Charles, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces and many friends. Reposing at Feehily's Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo from 6pm to 7.30pm this (Thursday) evening. Private cremation to follow. House strictly private. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to The Irish Cancer Society c/o Feehily's Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo."Fair Sailing".

<p>Fond memories</p> We've never met, but Denis and I go back to about 1974. We were friends in Salt Lake City, and later, after I moved to Virginia, we met up in the Caribbean and sailed on his boat several times. Denis was a lot of fun to be around, always cooking up some new scheme or other. We lost touch when he moved back to Ireland, other than a couple of Christmas letters. It was great to see that the clam business was successful, given Denis' love of the sea. Of course I now wish I'd made more an effort to stay in touch, since life is so fleeting. Kevin Shepherd
