O'BYRNE - Monica, (Donnybrook, Dublin) died April 2021.

On this the First Anniversary of the death of the much-loved Monica her husband Arnold and children, Audrey, Colin, Sandra, Kevin and Karen, wish to express heartfelt thanks to all who supported us at that sad time in our lives. We are grateful to our neighbours and friends who welcomed Monica home and on the following day gathered to bid Monica a final goodbye as we took her to the funeral Mass. We thank Father Gerry Kane for the pastoral care he gave to Monica during her illness, for celebrating her funeral Mass and prayers at the cemetery. We also thank Emmet Cahill whose memorable singing at the Mass was, and always will be, a source of great comfort to us. We greatly appreciate and thank the many who, because of Covid restrictions, had to remain outside the Church, all who sent Mass and Sympathy Cards, letters, flowers, who contacted us by phone, who attended the live streaming of Monica’s funeral Mass and those who left messages on the RIP website. We remember and thank the medical teams who cared for Monica in her final years. We especially appreciate the care given to her by Professor Janice Walshe, Professor Ken McDonald, Professor Sean Gaine, the late Doctor Enda McDermott and Doctor Peter Staunton who was always available to support and comfort Monica. We acknowledge and thank the staff of Woodbine Pharmacy for their magnificent help during Monica’s illness.
