Waterford and late of Passage East Car Ferry, Dunmore East R.N.L.I. and Bell Lines), June 16, 2017, John, deeply regretted by his wife Breda, daughter Sheina and son Paul, also by Nicola, son-in-law Austin, brother Bill, sister Gillian (Dillie) Beshoff, mother-in-law May Ryan, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Reposing at Tom Hennessy's Funeral Home, Johnstown, Waterford today (Monday) from 6pm to 8pm, with prayers at 7pm. Funeral arriving to Holy Cross Church Killea, Dunmore East tomorrow (Tuesday) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please donations if desired to R.N.L.I. Dunmore East.

Just learnt of John Colfer death. We are so shocked and sad. He will be remembered as a fine skipper and a thorough gentleman. Always quiet and courteous. Had enormous regard and respect for him. Will forever miss his familiar wave whenever
