BURNS - Fr Bartholomew (Batt), Glasnevin, Dublin, and formerly North Square, Sneem, County Kerry. On Batt’s First Anniversary (November 10), his family wish to thank most sincerely all those who supported and sympathised with them on their sad loss. We greatly appreciate all those who offered messages of sympathy and condolence and attended Batt’s funeral, many travelling long distances. We are deeply grateful to the staff of Glasnevin Medical Centre, Glasnevin Community Healthcare Team, the Rise Pharmacy, Dublin Ambulance and Fire Brigade Service and the Mater Hospital doctors, nurses, palliative team, clerical and household staff for the wonderful care they gave Batt. We are also sincerely grateful to Batt’s many close and loyal friends and neighbours for their support, kindness and generosity. Special thanks to Mark and George Drummond, funeral directors, and the grave diggers for your professionalism and care. A special word of thanks to Fr Liam O’Brien and Fr Brendan, and the musicians for a beautiful and personal Mass. Thanks also to the Sneem Hotel for the lovely meal after the funeral. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude and appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
