HANRAHAN, Joe (St. Rita’s, Farranshone, Limerick and late of Aer Lingus, Shannon) - September 23rd 2023, peacefully at home after a long illness, in the care of his loving family. Predeceased by his sister Rita and brother Donal. Sadly missed and forever dearly loved by his wife Audrey. Much loved and devoted father to his sons Des, Rory, Niall and Joe, his six darling grandchildren. Deeply regretted by his brother Michael, brother-in-law Fr. Des McAuliffe, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, wonderful friends and great neighbours. Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, tomorrow (Tuesday) evening from 5pm to 7pm, followed by removal to St. Munchin’s Church, Clancy Strand. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11.30am with burial afterwards in Mount St. Lawrence Extension. Funeral Cortege will pass Joe’s home in Farranshone en route to Mount St. Lawrence Cemetery Extension. No flowers, please. Donations, if desired, to Limerick Animal Welfare. Lord for your faithful people life is changed not ended

On this the Second Anniversary of Joes death on September 23, 2023. So very sadly missed, so very dearly loved by his wife Audrey, sons Des, Rory, Niall and Joe, his darling grandchildren and extended family as we treasure those precious years and memories we shared together. Today and forever more.

Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 6pm in the Holy Rosary Church, Ennis Road.
