HEERY (Raymond) (Ray) (2nd Lieut. Irish Air Corps, Baldonnel and Tubrid, Oldcastle, Co. Meath) (died tragically on May 6, 2004) - Noel, Kathryn and Edward wish to thank all the many relatives, friends, neighbours and colleagues who sympathised with and supported us on that traumatic occasion and ever since. We would especially like to acknowledge the support of the Irish Air Corps, Brig. Gen. Ralph James, Brig. Gen. Pat O'Sullivan, Ray's Senior Officers, Fr Brendan Madden, Air Corps Chaplain, Commandant Ronan Verling, whose sympathy, guidance and efficiency through those painful days can never be adequately acknowledged and particularly his classmates with whom Ray enjoyed so many happy times both socially and officially. Thanks is also expressed to Michael Smith, former Defence Minister, both ADCs who represented the President and the Taoiseach; Lieutenant General Jim Sreenan, GOC of the Defence Forces; the Garda Assistant Commissioner and all the members of the Irish Defence Forces who attended the funeral. We would also wish to acknowledge and thank those members of the Irish Parachute Club, Clonbologue, who assisted at the Scene of Ray's accident and the Oldcastle GardaĆ for their assistance. A special thanks is due to Fr FX O'Reilly (Frank) our P.P., all the ladies of the parish for all their hard work and Ray's colleagues and friends from St Bridget's Gaelic Football Club. Thanks also to the members of the neighbouring clubs who formed a guard of honour. We would especially like to thank all who sent Mass Cards, messages of sympathy and floral tributes and to those who continue to support us through our grief. As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually we trust that this Acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our heartfelt thanks. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Anniversary Mass to be celebrated in St Bridget's Church, Ballinacree at 8 o'clock, Friday, May 6, 2005."Remembering you is easy Raymie
We do it every day.
You simply lived for those you loved,
And those you loved, remember."
