STRATFORD Ralph Montgomery, M.A formerly Archdeacon of Killala and Achonry, Rector of Ballisodare Union and Canon of St. Patrick's Cathedral Dublin - August 8, 2014 peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar. Very deeply regretted and very sadly missed. Loving husband and best friend of Phyllis, loving Dad of Keith and Niall and daughter-in-law Vivian and very special Grandad of Nicholas, Robin and Amy. Fondly remembered by relatives and many friends. Funeral Service in St. Etchen's Killucan, Co. Westmeath tomorrow, Tuesday at 11.30am followed by burial at St. Michael's, Castlepollard. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Christian Aid c/o The Rev. A. Graham, Gaol Hill, Mullingar Co. Westmeath.For i know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the Earth.

STRATFORD, Ralph, (Montgomery, M.A., former Archdeacon of Killala and Achonry, Canon of St. Patrick's Cathedral and rector of Ballisodare Union for forty four years who died on August 8, 2014) - Phyllis and family wish to thank the consultants, surgeons, doctors and nurses that cared for him during his illness. We wish to especially thank those who cared for him in the ICU unit of Mullingar General Hospital in August 2014. Special thanks are extended to the Rev. Alastair Graham for his untold care and kindness. Our thanks are also extended to all relations and friends, clergy and parishioners who attended at his funeral. The family is most grateful for all the kind and thoughtful cards and letters received together with the generous donations for 'The Bishop's Appeal'. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere gratitude and appreciation. This special and remarkable man will always be missed."See you around"
