NEARY, Michael (Blackrock, Co Dublin) July 16, 2023. Peacefully, after a short illness at the Blackrock Clinic. Son of the late Danny and Maire Neary, brother of Donal S.J. and Joan (Hayden); Michael will be sadly missed by his family, brother-in-law Terry, nieces, Ruth and Joanne, nephew James, his wide circle of cousins and friends, especially Nuala, also neighbours and friends in Blackrock Clinic and Old Conna Golf Club. Removal this (Wednesday) morning to the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown for Funeral Mass at 11.00am, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. Rest in Peace

Donal, Joan and Terry Hayden, Ruth, James and Joanne, with their children Rory, Siabh, Daniel, Dylan, Lara, Jenna and Scott Michael, and his friend Nuala, would like to thank most sincerely all who attended at Fanagan’s Funeral Home and the Funeral Mass, those who sent messages of sympathy and condolences, Mass cards and sympathy cards; also his extended family, his many friends and colleagues of his hotel days, and from Old Conna Golf Club. We thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Blackrock Clinic, especially Professor Charles McCreary, and Nurse Catherine Rice and the staff in ICU for their excellent care of Michael and kindness to the family during his short illness and at other times in their care. Our thanks to Bishop Eamonn Walsh, chaplain at the Blackrock Clinic, for his support and kindness to Michael and the family; also to Monsignor Ciarán O’Carroll and the sacristy and pastoral staff at Booterstown Parish Church, and the many priests who joined in the Mass. A Mass of thanksgiving for Michael’s life has been offered and for the intentions of all who supported the family. The anniversary Mass for Michael will be on Sunday July 14 at 11am. in Booterstown church.
