CONNOLLY, James (Séamus) Brigadier General (Ret’d) (Coolnevaun, Kilmacud, Co. Dublin) - November 24, 2022, passed away peacefully, in his 100th year, in the loving care of Newtownpark House Nursing Home, after a long life well lived. Dearly beloved husband of the late Katherine (Kitty), devoted and much loved father of Jessica, John (Seán), Joanna, Katherine and the late Roddy and Séamus and brother to Margaret and the late Ross, Rory, Maura, Frankie and John Nalty. Father-in-law of Gwen, Brian, Eugene and Peter and the late Briege and Brenda. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, caring neighbours and Air Corps colleagues. Sincere thanks to all those who cared for Séamus over the last number of years. Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray tomorrow (Tuesday) from 6.00pm to 8.00pm, with Prayers at 7.45pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday (Nov. 30) at 10.00am in the Church of St. Laurence O’Toole, Kilmacud, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
