O'NEILL - Christine better known as Chris (née Scard), (Burren Painting Centre, St. Brendan's Road, Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare). July 16, 2021, peacefully under the unstinting care of Professor Maccon Keane and his staff at the Galway Clinic. Sadly missed by her beloved husband John and

always loved and remembered by her loving sons Seán and Graham, daughters-in-law Norma and Deirdre, adored grandchildren Odhran, Donagh, Cara, Conor and

Siofra, sister-in-law Marie, relatives, her many friends and neighbours. In keeping with Government restrictions regarding public gatherings a private funeral will take place at the family home. For those who wish to pay their respects Chris's funeral cortege will leave her residence in

Lisdoonvarna tomorrow (Sunday) at 2.30pm approx, arriving at the Shannon Crematorium for private cremation service at 4pm. Private messages of sympathy for the family can be emailed to cullinanfuneraldirectors@gmail.com. At a later date when the current circumstances have passed we look forward to celebrating Chris's life with the extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

It's been a few years now since I stayed in Lisdoonvarna with Christine and her sweet husband. I was telling friends about how wonderful this B&B was only to find out both Christine and her husband passed away. I was on assignment for the New York Times in 2018 when I was there and I still count my stay with them as one of the best in my life. They were briefly family to me. Much belated condolences to the family.

Dear John, Sean, Graham and family. I was so very sorry to hear of Chris's passing. I have very fond memories of her back in the days of when the B & Bs were in full flow. May she rest in peace. My love and thoughts are with you all. Katie
