POWER Barney (Sandycove) - October 2, 2016 (peacefully) after an illness borne without complaint and with constant good humour, in the excellent care of the Dalkey Community Care Unit. Much loved husband and best friend of Eudie and wonderful father of Catherine, Julie, Geoff, Cecily and Norris. Sadly missed by his sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, ten grandchildren, sisters-in-law, extended family and a wide circle of friends. Reposing at his home this (Wednesday) evening from 5pm until 8pm. Removal tomorrow (Thursday) morning to the Church of the Assumption B.V.M., Dalkey arriving at 11.20 am for 11. 30 o'clock requiem Mass, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold's Cross, D6W. No flowers please. Donations if desired to Dalkey Community Care Unit. Caithfidh éinín eitilt.

POWER Barney, (late of Sandycove), October 2, 2016 - On the First Anniversary of Barney's death, his wife Eudie and his family would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us and continue to support us. A special thank you to the fabulous staff at Dalkey Community Care Unit who gave Barney such wonderful care throughout his illness prior to his death.
