McCARTHY Donal, (Sharon Vale, Laburnum Drive, Model Farm Road, Cork) died January 4, 2015. As the First Anniversary of Donal's death approaches, Suzanne, his wife; Monessa, Donal, Sinead, Davnet, Conor, Shane, Mairead, Fergus and Brian, his beloved family remember him with great love. We wish to express our appreciation and sincere thanks for the kindness and support we received during Donal's illness and death-so many sent messages, letters and Mass Cards. Special thanks to all who called to our home, prayed with us and attended the removal and funeral Mass; to Fr. Tom Clancy whose inspirational words and prayerful celebration of Mass touched us deeply; to Fr. John Fitzgerald MSC and MSC confreres who attended the funeral Mass; to Sinead Murphy and Patrick Killeen for beautiful music. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Donal's Doctors, Gerard Dineen, Tom Murphy, Derek Power and Mags Clifford whose professionalism and kindness carried Donal, and us, through a very difficult time. Our thanks to the nurses and staff of the Mercy Hospital who cared for Donal during and after his surgery. Donal's final days were spent in Marymount and only those who have experienced it can realise the care given and dedication shown by all the staff there. They are truly wonderful and we cannot thank them enough for all they did for us. We acknowledge with thanks the funeral directors, Kevin and Brian O'Connor and team whose concern and efficiency ensured all funeral arrangements ran smoothly. We are richly blessed to have had Donal as part of our lives. He was a dearly loved, greatly missed husband, Dad and Granddad. The many happy memories he left us are both a tribute to him and a comfort to us. We treasure them. Thank you all so very much."In life, loving much,
he was greatly loved
And in death most deeply mourned."
